Gears of War Judgement, Bioshock Infinite to Round Off March!

Have you had a blast on the new Tomb Raider yet? If you’re still on the fence, you might be pleased to hear that it’s an absolute riot; gone are the days of instructing Lara to roll left out of the way of an incoming boulder, only for her to draw her firearms at it and crouch tentatively. Nope this one delivers a whole new level of control, it looks utterly stunning and is, all in all, a joy to play. We’ve been guiding Lara through this new adventure to tumultuous cries of joy here in the Hitari office since its release, it’s causing a right old raucous. Still there’s a couple of notable fellows you might be looking forward to to finish off March as well, and they go by those practically unheard of names Gears of War and Bioshock!

22nd March – Gears of War: Judgement

Sending you thundering back in time, the series drops you in in the immediate aftermath of ‘Emergence Day’; if you’re a fan of the series, you’ll know that’s a pretty significant time to be playing in. The war has just begun and Kilo Squad, the stars of the show, are a team of troops fighting amidst this new alien threat, led by staple series characters ‘Baird’ and ‘Cole’. Of course the frenetic online action returns, as does co-op, and the sprawling, narratively contorting storyline. Whether this is your first foray into the series or you’re a long-time veteran, the atmosphere is electric in the Gears of War camp as we edge ever closer to release. Here’s a trailer!

26th March – Bioshock Infinite

As one of the highest rated shooters of all time, the original Bioshock set the bar for narrative-focussed first person shooters, and despite the hiccups that have plagued this latest entry’s development, we cannot wait to get our hands on what could be a game we’re talking about for many years to come. With its unique visual art style taking to the skies and allowing you to rail about the place using a ‘Skyhook’, and that special Bioshock method of storytelling, is Infinite going to have been worth the wait? We think there’s little doubt there. Get your last minute preorders in now before they go!

Let us know what you’re playing and whether or not you’re planning on picking up these latest releases!
