A: We’re developing Diablo III to be the definitive action role-playing game and a true continuation of the Diablo series. Diablo III will be a fitting sequel to Diablo II, with the easy interface, fast-paced action, and visceral gameplay that Diablo players have come to expect and enjoy. It will also include many new features that will take the Diablo action-RPG experience to the next level.

Q: Which characters will be in Diablo III?

A: Players will create a male or female hero from one of five distinct classes -- barbarian, witch doctor, wizard, monk, or demon hunter -- each equipped with an array of spells and abilities. New customization options will provide for an even greater level of character specialization than the previous Diablo games, allowing players to create unique characters brimming with power.

Q: What can you say about the different classes?

A: The heavily armed barbarian is one of the stoic guardians of Mount Arreat. Armed with powerful abilities and moves, this plate-wearing savage wields ferocious weapons to annihilate the demonic forces threatening the world of Sanctuary.

The fearsome witch doctor hails from the terrifying Tribe of the Five Hills of the legendary umbaru race. Q: What is the story of Diablo III?

A: The game takes place on Sanctuary, a world of dark fantasy. Unbeknownst to most of its inhabitants, Sanctuary was saved some twenty years ago from the demonic forces of the underworld by a few brave and powerful heroes. Most of those warriors who directly faced the armies of the Burning Hells -- and were fortunate enough to survive -- went mad from their experiences. And most of the others have buried their haunted memories and pushed the horrors from their thoughts. In Diablo III, players will return to Sanctuary to confront evil in its many forms once again.

Q: Will players interact with any familiar faces or places in Diablo III?

A: Yes, definitely. Players will return to Tristram and certain other locations from the previous games, and they’ll also be exploring new areas of Sanctuary. Players will also encounter several new characters as well as a number of characters from the previous games, including Deckard Cain.

Q: Will I need to be connected to the Internet to play Diablo III?

A: Yes, players must be online in order to play Diablo III. Diablo III was built from the ground up to take full advantage of the new version of Blizzard's powerful Battle.net platform. Q: How will PvP be implemented in Diablo III?

A: While Diablo III is designed primarily for cooperative multiplayer, we are building in support for competitive player-vs.-player gameplay as well. We also plan to integrate Battle.net’s matchmaking system, a progression-based ranking system, and more.

Q: What matchmaking functionality will the game include?

A: With Diablo III, it will be easier than ever to quickly group up with your friends or other players in the community. When looking for a group, players will be able to simply broadcast an invite to all of their Real ID friends. Anyone who sees this broadcast can accept the offer with one click and automatically be added to their friend’s game.

We’ll also be including a robust public game finder for those times when you just want to play with whoever’s available on Battle.net as opposed to Real ID friends specifically. This feature will bring together players based on different factors, such as the part of the game they’re looking to play through.

Regardless of whom you group with, the game is designed to offer a seamless, fun experience. Players will be able to easily transition between single-player and cooperative play with their characters at any point during their Diablo III campaign, and the game will dynamically adjust to accommodate for additional players midstream. This means more-powerful demons to slay, more loot exploding out of corpses, and more fun on the fly. In addition, the game will offer each player their own individual loot drops, health globes will be automatically shared among players, and players will be unable to go hostile at will, all of which should eliminate unfair ambushes and other types of griefing.

For player-vs.-player matchmaking, the game will group players together in the PvP arenas based on level and skill, making for fun, closely matched PvP action.

Q: What is the banner system?

A: Think you're better than all of your friends? Your banner will prove it. The banner system will be a visual representation of the achievements players earn across all of their Diablo III characters on their Battle.net account. A player’s banner will have multiple components that can be earned through various modes of gameplay. Completing the game at different difficulty levels, defeating bosses, progressing in PvP, playing a Hardcore-mode character, and earning achievements will all unlock different ways for players to customize their banner and show off what they’ve accomplished.

Q: What is the shared stash?

A: The shared stash is an inventory-management feature that allows players to stash items in a collective storage space for all of their characters. Items in the shared stash are accessible to the player regardless of which character is currently being played.

Q: What difficulty settings will be available in Diablo III?

A: Players will have the opportunity to play the Diablo III campaign through four successive difficulty settings: Normal, Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno. Each difficulty setting will progressively increase the challenge and will reward players with higher tiers of armor, weapons, gems, crafting recipes, and runestones. Players must complete Normal to unlock Nightmare, complete Nightmare to unlock Hell, and complete Hell and reach level 60 to unlock Inferno.

Q: Will there be a Hardcore mode?

A: Yes, players who seek the thrill of constant peril that comes with the possibility of permanent death for their character will again have that option in Diablo III. All four difficulty settings -- Normal, Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno -- will be playable in Hardcore mode. Players choosing to participate in Hardcore mode will only be able to play with other Hardcore characters and will only be able to trade items in the Hardcore version of the gold-based auction house.

Q: After completing the game on Normal, why would I want to continue playing on more difficult settings?

A: Diablo III continues the series’ tradition of offering advanced levels of challenge once players play through at Normal difficulty. Due to the game’s randomized elements, including the monsters you’ll face and the layout and content of the areas you’ll explore, you’ll have a different experience with each play-through. In addition, the challenges you’ll face will ramp up significantly at the Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno levels. Playing at these settings before your character is at the appropriate level would provide a less-than-optimal experience. Once your character is ready, though, significantly greater rewards and levels of power await you at the Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno difficulty settings.

Q: When will Diablo III be released?

A: We plan to release Diablo III in early 2012. As with all Blizzard Entertainment games, our goal is to create a game that is as fun, balanced, and polished as possible. We intend to take as much time developing Diablo III as is necessary to ensure the game meets our own high expectations and those of our players. We’re aiming to release Diablo III on both Mac and Windows simultaneously in as many regions as possible, and to localize the game in several languages. Q: Will Diablo III include support for bots and/or mods?

A: No, for a variety of gameplay and security reasons, we will not be supporting bots or mods in Diablo III, and they’ll be expressly prohibited by our Terms of Use.

Q: Will Diablo III be offered digitally as well as at retail stores? How much will it cost?

A: As with our previous games, we do intend to offer Diablo III for purchase digitally as well as at retail. Specific details regarding pricing and availability for each region will be announced closer to release.

Skylanders Cloud Patrol is set in a new region of Skylands that has been overrun by the evil minions of Portal Master, Kaos. With all 30-plus skylanders available to unlock, the game lets players take command of a magnificent sky-ship and use their favourite skylander to dispatch the baddies using touch gestures to tap-and-shoot or swipe the screen to create amazing combos.

Skylanders Cloud Patrol lets fans unlock skylanders and Magic Items and bring them to life in Cloud Patrol using the code bundled with each Skylanders action figure. Additionally, new Portal Masters may earn or purchase in-game currency to build their virtual mobile skylanders collection, Magic Items, and more.Cloud Patrol also features Game Center leaderboards and achievements and a 3D character viewer that allows players to browse their entire in-game collection.

Review

Players assume the role of a Skylander (the game comes with Trigger Happy, but you can unlock others with the Web Codes that are included with the figures) who mans a turret, taking out escaped Trolls. The more Trolls you hit at once, the larger your combo. If you hit a bomb, though (like in Fruit Ninja), the game is over.

99 cent is totally fair for this game. I think the really clever part is they added the 3DS' "Element of the Day", which allows players using the chosen element for the day to score more coins than usual. This means anyone who just plays Skylanders on their iDevices will ultimately end up having to spend some cash on figures like the rest.

Release Date: 30^th March 2012

Here is an explanation of how the code works.

During the first 3^rd of the game (before the Radio Station), the player will encounter several lockers with a numerical keypad. These lockers will be distinctive in colour and may even have a Konami logo. The placement will be unobtrusive so that the player does not mistake them for an actual game puzzle.

The player will use the numerical keypad on the locker to enter their code. Once the code is entered the locker will open to reveal the double axe. The nail gun will not be available in the locker but will spawn randomly throughout the game after the code has been entered at the lockers.

Below are descriptions of the weapons.

Nail gun
The clip can hold more ammo than the normal gun.

Double Axe
Most powerful melee weapon.

Tricks and Tips For Playing On Your Xbox 360

1. Time Limit

Shut down your Xbox 360 console every 6 hours, this will prevent your TV from presenting you with a burnt image of what you’re playing. Always shut down using Xbox Dashboard.

2. Music

You can play music from your Xbox; though do not expect it to play as loudly as any exclusive music system. You can store music files by ripping music from a CD; it reads a wide range of discs, including CD-R and CD-RW formatted discs.

3. Batteries

Make sure you keep spare batteries close at hand, or invest in a Quick Charge Kit and keep spares charging at all times, to avoid running out of batteries in your wireless controller at a crucial moment. You can also get a Wireless Controller with a Play and Charge Kit which can come in handy.

4. HDD/defected signal.

Be careful when replacing your HDD at a friend’s house. Just click push the button at the front of the HD and then pull it gently. Also, to put it back in, slide in the back end first and then bring it down to its place until it makes a click sound. While doing all these, make sure you do it all gently. Also if when plugging in your Xbox at a friend’s house and connecting to different displays, sometimes a defected signal is output resulting in no display on the screen or a mere flickering screen. If this happens, shut down the Xbox 360 console and turn it back on with the Xbox 360 controller. While the Xbox 360 console is still in the process of booting, press and hold the ‘Y’ button followed by the right trigger (RT). The video settings have now been reset and you can continue playing.

5. 'Away'

If you’re playing with friends, or just don’t want to be disturbed, you can change your status with Online Appearance with the Personal Options Button. Choose ‘away’ or ‘busy’ or even offline mode to let people online know you don’t want to play just now.

6. Microsoft Points

Xbox will ask for you to submit your credit card details, which can make it easier to buy Xbox Live Microsoft Points. However once they have your details, it’s almost impossible to take them off and set’s you up for auto-renewal. Steer clear and just buy Microsoft Points from retailers instead. Most will e-mail you the code so no waiting around for delivery.

7. Wireless

You might not need to buy an Official Microsoft Wireless N Network Adaptor for wireless internet connectivity with the Xbox 360 console. If you have a laptop with Wi-Fi nearby simple open the Control Panel, Network Connections/Network Sharing, Manage Network Connections. Upon section of Local Area Connection and Wireless Network Connection, bridge connections after right-clicking.

8. Gamertag

When you use your Xbox 360 console for the first time, you got through a set-up process of where you need to name a profile for yourself. Choose this name carefully, as if you want to change it later, it will cost you! Choose something short and simple so that other people can communicate with your easier.

9. Look After Your Xbox 360!

Above all, look after your Xbox 360 console. Keep it clean, keep it dust free, and keep it well ventilated to avoid overheating. I recommend keeping it horizontal to avoid it falling over or possible wobbling/vibrating in game play which will also avoid scratching any discs.

1. Don’t smoke!

Any smoke near your console is bad for the laser and can stop games and movies working.

2. Ventilation

Keep your PS3 well ventilated, do not lie in on a carpet or rug, try and keep it at least 10cm away from your wall or other surfaces, do not cover it with a sheet and do not place your console on top of any other equipment like a DVD player or other consoles.

3. Liquids

It should go without saying, but do not spill any liquids onto your console, do not balance any drinks on it, or drink anything near it! Also condensation can also harm your console so avoid storing it in any well known damp areas.

4. USB

If you’re using a USB port that is sucking more power than 1 port can manage then your USB port is going to burn out. Think about buying a USB 2.0 hub with its own external power source so not too much power will be used from one of the USB ports on your PS3.

5. Dust

Trying dusting your console with a clean dry cloth as often as you can. Dust can be very harmful for your console so try keeping it clear of any, especially near the vents at the front back and sides.

6. Damage

Do not move your console while playing, not only could you scratch the disc but you can also damage the console. Never drop it, bump it, kick it or bang it as the shock whilst running can do a lot of external damage. It would also be good if you don’t do any of these things whilst it is not running as well.

7. Heat

Usually you will find it over heats due to lack of ventilation and a build up of dust – so if you listen to the above tips this hopefully will not be a problem, however if you do need to keep an eye on it I suggest putting a thermometer on the wall behind your console, and keep an eye on it – it should never go above 35 Celsius. I also recommend a PS3 Slim cooling and vertical stand. It increases the airflow and helps keep the PS3 cool at critical times.

8. Turn off correctly

Hold the PS button on the controller for 2 seconds and select Turn Off System, go to Turn Off System on the XMB under ‘users’ or you can hold the power button on the console for 5 seconds. Never turn it off by flicking the switch at the back. Be sure to save and quit your game before turning off the console.

9. Surges

If you’re not planning on using your PS3 for a few days then switch it off at the back to prevent any power surges. You can also prevent this from happening by buying a quality surge protector.

10. Hard Drive

Do not power down while hard drive is being accessed. If the yellow light is flashing, you must wait until it stops to power down, otherwise doing so will damage your hard drive.

THQ and the Ultimate Fighting Championship organization today announced the UFC Undisputed 3 playable demo is now available for free download via Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, as well as PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system. Consumers will explore a fantasy UFC matchup between current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. The following are only a few facts, I found about the PlayStation Vita Console (PS Vita) which I discovered during my training session in Manchester organised by Sony:

Many called the PS Vita the PSP2 or its codename, NGP for "Next Generation Portable" until it was officially announced at the E3 2011.
Vita is Latin for life. Sony envisions Vita being part of its users everyday life.
The PS Vita features a rear touch pad, a front touch screen, all sorts of sensors and cameras.
If you buy a 3G-enabled PS Vita, you'll be able to connect to the Internet from anywhere and no need for a hotspot.
Players who want to use multiple PSN accounts on PlayStation Vita Console can do so but each account will need to be bonded to a separate memory card.
PSP Games can be played on PS Vita using 'UMD Passport' program which will allow users to transfer their titles to the PS Vita. This also includes some third party publishers such as Sega, Konami, Capcom and Square Enix.
Screenshots on the PS Vita can be snapped by pressing PlayStation and Start button together.
The PS Vita will be shipped without paper manuals and instead use the online PS Vita manual (Sony)
